CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Casey Jones scored 23 points and Chattanooga withstood a late Wofford rally to remain unbeaten in Southern Conference play with a 70-69 win Saturday night.

Chattanooga (10-8, 4-0) led 70-64 with 14 seconds left before Karl Cochran made 1 of 2 free throw attempts. A Cochran steal led to two made free throws from Jaylen Allen with 10 seconds left.

Another steal and basket from Allen brought Wofford within 70-69. Allen was fouled on the play, but missed the game-tying free throw.

After Chattanooga’s Gee McGhee was fouled and missed two free throws with 6 seconds left, Cochran was called for a charge driving to the basket on Wofford’s final possession and the Mocs held on.

Z. Mason had 17 points for Chattanooga and Ronrico White added 15.

Cochran led Wofford (7-9, 2-2) with 20 points while Spencer Collins had 11. Lee Skinner scored 10 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
