Richmond tops Fordham 77-77 in OT

NEW YORK (AP) — Cedrick Lindsay scored 19 points Saturday night and Kendall Anthony hit a 3-pointer in overtime as Richmond beat Fordham 77-74 for its first Atlantic Ten Conference win of the season.

Terry Allen come off the bench and scored 18, Anthony 13, and Derrick Williams added 10 for the Spiders (11-6, 1-1) who outshot the Rams (7-8, 1-1) 47.2 percent to 33.8 percent.

Richmond led 29-28 at halftime and the teams deadlocked at 63 when Fordham’s Ryan Rhoomes hit a layup at the end of regulation.

With the scored tied at 72 in overtime, Anthony hit a 3-pointer with 13 seconds to play and Williams sank two free throws for a 77-72 lead. Branden Frazier made a layup for Fordham with 1 second to play and time expired.

Frazier led the Rams with 29 points, Jon Severe scored 19 and Ryan Canty and Rhoomes grabbed 11 rebounds each.
