Florida A&M outlasts NC A&T 76-66

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Trey Kellum had 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks as Florida A&M defeated North Carolina A&T 76-66 on Monday night.

Florida A&M led 56-55 when Jamie Adams started a 12-1 run with two free throws and a layup on back-to-back possessions. Bobby King’s dunk with 6:56 to play capped the run with a 12-point lead for the Rattlers.

Adams, Reggie Lewis and Jamari Bradshaw each scored 16 points to lead Florida A&M (6-11, 2-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). King added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Lamont Middleton had 20 points to lead NC A&T (4-12, 1-1). Richaud Pack scored 15 points and Bruce Beckford added 12.

Pack made all three free throws to pull the Aggies to within one point with 9:34 to play.

The Rattlers responded by extending their lead to 68-56, and NC A&T got no closer than eight points.
