Salmon Creek — The young students, parents and staff of Vancouver’s The Goddard School, 13201 N.E. 27th Ave., helped bring in more than 1,400 pounds of food during a December canned food drive. The donations went to the Camas-Washougal Fire Department’s annual CAROL Program to benefit those in need. Also in early December, the infant to pre-K school collected more than 100 blankets for dogs at the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society in Washougal.
