Red Wings recall Jurco from AHL

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings have recalled right wing Tomas Jurco from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Jurco has played in seven games with the Red Wings this season, scoring two goals with one assist.

Jurco has appeared in 32 games with Grand Rapids and has a team-best 32 points. Last season, he had 28 points in 74 regular-season games with the Griffins and helped them win the Calder Cup.

Jurco was taken by Detroit in the second round of the 2011 draft.
