WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Winnipeg defenseman Grant Clitsome is out for the season after undergoing back surgery in California.
The Jets made the announcement on Friday. The team didn’t disclose the nature of the injury.
The 28-year-old Clitsome hasn’t played since Dec. 17 in Buffalo. He has 12 points in 32 games this season.
He was claimed off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets in February 2012 by the Jets.
