Letter: County fails to help

The Columbian
Published: January 17, 2014, 4:00pm

I was under the impression that buying property was supposed to be an investment in our future. In Clark County, it only works for those with money.

My wife and I have 20 acres in north Clark County. I have become disabled to the point that I don’t know from day to day if I can walk outside without passing out. Selling 10 acres would solve all my financial problems. There are 2- to 5-acre lots all around us, but I am not allowed to sell. I have taken this as far as the state level, suggested by County Commissioner David Madore, just to find out it is totally county.

My opinion is that our elected county commissioners have no respect for the people they are supposed to serve. They flat out lie and do nothing to help.
