Sacramento St surge tops Eastern Washington, 75-64

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Dylan Garrity scored 18 points, half during a 26-6 run that spanned halftime, to spark Sacramento State to a 75-64 win over Eastern Washington Saturday night.

Thomas Reuter scored to pull Eastern Washington even at 25-25 with 4:15 to play in the first half, but the Hornets closed with a 13-3 run to take a 38-28 lead at intermission, then opened the second with another 13-3 run. Garrity made four layups in the two runs.

Zach Mills scored 17 points for Sacramento State (6-9, 2-4 Big Sky), which shot 50 percent from the field (26-52) and hit 6 of 15 from 3-point range.

Eastern Washington (7-10, 2-4) got a 17-point effort from Venky Jois. Tyler Harvey added 15 points, but struggled from the field, hitting just 3 of 15 shots from the floor. Drew Brandon added 13 points and Parker Kelly contributed 11.
