BALTIMORE (AP) — Dave Coley scored 22 points, 13 from the free throw line, as Stony Brook won its fifth straight conference game, 81-62, over UMBC on Monday.

Coley has scored 20 or more points in three of his past four games for Stony Brook (13-6, 5-0 America East). The Seawolves have won 11 straight conference games dating back to last season.

Jameel Warney added 17 points for the Seawolves, on 7-of-11 shooting, and grabbed 11 rebounds. He entered the game leading the nation in field goal percentage at 66.1 percent.

Stony Brook built an early 43-30 lead by halftime and are now 12-1 this season when leading at the break.

Chase Plummer led UMBC (5-14, 1-5) with 21 points and became the 12th player in school history to reach 1,200 career points.

It was UMBC’s third loss in six days after defeats to Vermont and New Hampshire last week.
