KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) — Amway President Doug DeVos has won a third consecutive race to keep Quantum Racing at the top of the 52 class at the Key West 2014 sailing regatta off the Florida Keys.

Following Tuesday’s second day of racing, Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom remains in second, skippering Swedish-flagged vessel Ran, but is just one point ahead of last year’s 52-class winner, Italian-flagged Azzurra. Pharmaceutical mogul Pablo Roemmer co-owns Azzurra.

Alex Schaerer’s American-flagged Caol Ila R remains in the lead of the Mini Maxi class.

Squalls emanating from a weather system that moved through the area caused multiple delays for the larger boats that could only race one of two planned heats Tuesday. Organizers anticipate they will make up the race before the event concludes Friday.
