ATHENS, Ohio (AP) — Spencer Parker scored 16 points and Jehvon Clarke had 15 as Bowling Green beat Ohio 58-56 on Wednesday.

Clarke made the final two baskets for Bowling Green — the last to push the lead to five points with 1:31 left. T.J. Hall answered with a 3-pointer to make it a one possession game with 1:07 left. Clarke missed the first free throw of a 1-and-1 with 18 seconds left, giving Ohio one last shot. But Nick Kellogg’s 3-pointer at the buzzer hit the front rim.

It was Bowling Green’s first victory at Ohio since Jan. 24, 2009.

Richaun Holmes added 12 points for Bowling Green (9-9, 3-2 Mid-American Conference).

Hall had 15 points for Ohio (13-5, 3-2). Maurice Ndour added 12 and eight rebounds and Kellogg finished with 10. The Bobcats had a better shooting percentage and outrebounded BGSU, but were outdone by 18 turnovers against Bowling Green’s zone defense.
