A Castle Rock woman escaped serious injury early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 about two miles south of Ridgefield.

The crash, reported just minutes after midnight Monday, occurred when a 1999 Chevrolet K1 driven by Elisabeth Lowe, 52, veered off the road, according to Washington State Patrol.

Lowe had been on the Gee Creek Rest Area exit when she lost control; the vehicle rolled and came to rest in a ditch, according to the State Patrol.

Lowe was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

Alcohol and drugs were not involved. Lowe was not cited.
