LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) — Rodney Glasgow followed his own miss with a left-handed putback with .6 seconds left in overtime and VMI pulled out an 82-80 victory over High Point on Wednesday night.

John Brown made two free throws for High Point (6-12, 2-3 Big South) with 1:38 left in overtime to take an 80-78 lead and got the ball back after a turnover. But the Keydets’ D.J. Covington intercepted a pass and, after teammate QJ Peterson missed a 3-pointer, slammed home the rebound with 47 seconds left. VMI (10-8, 3-2) got the ball back on a travel, setting up Glasgow’s winning shot.

Covington’s two free throws with 9 seconds left in regulation sent the game into overtime at 75-all.

Peterson led VMI with 25 points. Glasgow scored 18, Jordan Weethee 11 and Covington 10.

Brown led the Panthers with 28 points with Adam Weary adding 17, Jorge Perez-Laham 16 and Devante Wallace 11.
