LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Nikki Moody scored nine of her nine of 20 points in overtime and No. 20 Iowa State held off Texas Tech 85-76 Saturday night.

Moody opened the overtime with a 3-pointer and, after Ivonne Cook-Taylor hit a jumper 27 seconds later, knocked down a jumper to give the Cyclones a 77-74 lead. After layups by Seanna Johnson — on which Moody assisted — and Moody pushed the Cyclones’ lead to 81-74, Amber Battle answered with a layup that would prove to be the Lady Raiders’ final points.

Iowa State (15-4, 4-4 Big 12) held Tech (6-13, 0-8) without a field goal for 3:13 in overtime and opened the extra frame with a 9-2 run.

Moody’s jumper with 34 seconds left in regulation gave Iowa State a 72-70 advantage, but Battle tied the game 14 seconds later.

Iowa State missed two shots in the final seconds.

Battle finished with 24 points.
