SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Cole Dickerson doubled his scoring average with 28 points and San Francisco defeated Santa Clara 75-66 on Saturday night.

Kruize Pinkins added 14 points and Mark Tollefsen 12 for the Dons (13-8, 6-3 West Coast Conference). Matt Glover grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds for USF, which held a 41-24 advantage on the boards.

Freshman Jared Brownridge, averaging 16.6 points per game, matched his career high of 30 points for the Broncos (10-12, 3-6), who have lost four straight. Brandon Clark added 12 points.

The Dons never trailed after Dickerson’s basket at 17:12 of the first half and led by 12 at the break.

The Broncos got within four with 54 seconds left, but Tim Derksen made two free throws then had a steal and a long pass to Dickerson for a layup and an eight-point lead. Pinkins’ three-point play and two more free throws by Derksen kept SCU at bay.
