PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Marcus Thornton scored 26 points, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer, to lead William & Mary to a 68-66 victory over Drexel Saturday.

Down by nine at the break, the Tribe (11-7, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association) scored 10 unanswered points early in the second period to take a one-point lead, 39-38. After a Drexel surge that had the Dragons up by nine at 13:07, the Tribe edged ahead again to lead 65-64 for the final minute of play.

With 10 seconds left on the clock, Drexel’s Chris Fouch hit a jumper to put the Dragons up by one but Thornton answered for the Tribe with a 3 at the buzzer to give William & Mary the win.

Tim Rusthoven had 15 points for the Tribe. Omar Prewitt came off the bench to add 10.

Fouch scored a career-high 31 points for the Dragons (10-9, 2-4).
