Talking Points: Extreme devotion of Seahawks fans

1.

Some Seahawks fans show their passion in interesting ways.

Consider Kennewick hairstylist McKenzie Jane Brown.

The Tri-City Herald reports she has no regrets about her decision to get a tattoo of the Seahawks logo on the side of her head.

Brown decided to get the tattoo after hearing a local radio station was giving away two tickets to the Jan. 11 playoff game against New Orleans to the fan with the best Seahawks-related photo.

She placed second to a guy in a Seahawks Batman costume.

2.

The Pro Bowl, in its quest to make itself relevant, will try almost anything.

This year’s Team Rice vs. Team Sanders fantasy draft format seems like a desperate move by a game in it’s death throes.

But not so fast. Sunday’s game was watched by 11.4 million people. Paltry by NFL standards, but still more than the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which drew 11.0 million.

Expect more ridiculous tweaks in the future. After all, the NFL would rather people criticize the Pro Bowl than not talk about it at all.
