Boston University defeats Army 86-81 in OT

BOSTON (AP) — D.J. Irving scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds as Boston University defeated Army 86-81 in overtime on Wednesday night. Irving was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line in OT

Cedrick Hankerson came off the bench to put up 19 points for the Terriers (15-7, 8-1 Patriot League). Malik Thomas had 18 points and Dom Morris added nine points and a team-high 11 rebounds.

Boston went 18-4 to start the game and had a 37-18 lead at the break. The Terriers led by as many as 22 at 16:48 in the second before Army rallied, outscoring Boston 45-23, to tie the game at 70-70 with 1:30 left in regulation. A bucket on each side before time expired sent the game into overtime.

Leading the Black Knights (10-10, 6-3) was Dylan Cox with 19 points and six rebounds.
