Girls basketball: Camas 41, Evergreen 23

The visiting Papermakers held the Plainsmen to one point in the first half of the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League game.

“They played a really good, smothering defense,” Evergreen coach Jay Foreman said.

Nikki Corbett led Camas (10-7, 5-2) with 12 points. Brenna Khaw and Mia Hunt added nine points apiece.

Vella Jackson scored eight points for Evergreen (10-7, 3-4).
