No. 11 Oklahoma State escapes TCU 49-48

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Roshunda Johnson’s basket with 9 seconds remaining lifted No. 11 Oklahoma State to a 49-48 victory over TCU Wednesday on a night Tiffany Bias became the Cowgirls’ all-time assist leader.

Bias had five assists for 712 in her career at Oklahoma State (18-2, 7-2 Big 12). She led the Cowgirls with 17 points. Johnson finished with 10 while Brittney Martin had 15 rebounds.

Oklahoma State trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half. OSU caught the Horned Frogs (12-8, 3-5) at 38-all on Kendra Suttles’ layup with 12:10 left and didn’t take its first lead until 10:30.

OSU was held to a season-low point total. The Cowgirls were also held to a season low for a single half with 20 points in the second half, but TCU scored only 14.

TCU was led by Natalie Ventress with 12 points and Zahna Medley 11. Latricia Lovings grabbed 12 rebounds.
