ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Kyle Noreen and Ya Ya Anderson opened with 3-pointers as Radford galloped out to an early lead and never let Winthrop get closer than five points in a 76-64 victory on Wednesday night.

Anderson finished with 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting, hitting 3 of 4 from 3-point range, as the Highlanders (14-8, 4-3 Big South) shot 60.5-percent (26 of 43). Radford also hit 5 of 10 3-pointers and 19 of 21 from the line.

Javonte Green added 14 points as Radford stayed a game behind the leaders in the conference’s North Division and, with 14 wins, surpassed its total from last season.

Winthrop (10-9, 4-3) entered the game tied for the South Division lead. Joab Jerome led the Eagles with 17 points, Keon Johnson and Keon Moore adding 12 each.

Radford’s 40 points by halftime was the most allowed in a first half by Winthrop this season.
