HILLSBORO, Ore. — A jury found a woman guilty of obstruction of justice Wednesday for her role in an attack on a gay couple who were walking a pink poodle in Hillsboro.

Saraya Sophia Lisa Gardner will be sentenced in May. Meanwhile, her husband, 23-year-old George Allen Mason, faces trial on more serious charges in the attack last March in which David Beltier was hit on the head with a heavy tool.

Beltier and Jeremy Mark were walking their poodle “Beauty,” which they had dyed pink with Kool-Aid.

Witnesses say Mason was driving by, yelled “That’s not right for that dog to be that color,” stopped and attacked the men, yelling anti-gay slurs.
