Papa Murphy’s announces hiring of new CFO

Vancouver-based take-and-bake pizza chain Papa Murphy’s International announced this week it has hired Mark Hutchens as chief financial officer.

Hutchens’ background spans nearly 25 years working with publicly traded firms, most recently as vice president and chief financial officer for Bloomin’ Brands Inc., parent company of restaurant chains such as Outback Steakhouse. Before that, he was employed by Office Depot as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer.

Hutchens worked 10 years for Yum! Brands, parent of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC, and eight working for Ford Motor Co. in finance and product development. The 1,350-unit, mostly franchised Papa Murphy’s International is owned by New York-based private-equity firm Lee Equity Partners.
