For a limited time, you’ll be able to enjoy two Portland staples — bikes and doughnuts — at one time.

In honor of its 20th anniversary, Community Cycling Center is celebrating not with cake, but with bike doughnuts.

Voodoo Doughnut will have the latest addition to its menu until Aug. 2 at both its downtown and Northeast locations. CCC spokeswoman Melinda Musser says the featured doughnut with chunky apple filling and vanilla frosting was a collaboration between the non profit and the local doughnut shop.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward CCC’s mission to get more people on bikes.

“There’s nothing like the joy of getting your first bike and the freedom it entails,” Voodoo Doughnut founder Tres Shannon said in a statement. “We are really happy to support a program that provides this to young kids and adults alike.”

CCC started in 1994 as a bicycle riding and repair school for kids. Over the past two decades, the nonprofit has grown to include programs for both children and adults, as well as a bike shop on Alberta Avenue.
