PORTLAND — Portland Fire and Rescue says a crowd of about 50 people milling around outside an apartment complex complicated the emergency response to a crash Sunday night in north Portland.

Spokesman Gabriel Watson tells The Oregonian it was hard to determine who was involved, who was helping and who was in the way.

Rescuers removed four injured adults and a child from the car and pickup truck that collided.

In addition, a sixth person who was not involved in the crash was somehow injured and also taken to a hospital.
