Published: July 9, 2014, 12:00am

The Washington State University Clark County Extension is looking for volunteers to help operate its Germ City exhibit at the Clark County Fair.

The extension is looking for volunteers to help educate audiences about proper hand washing, as well as to test visitors’ ability to wash well enough to remove all germs before heading to other activities at the fair. Volunteers will also lead visitors through the “city.”

The booth opens Friday, Aug. 1 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 10. Booth hours are noon to 4:30 p.m. and 5 to 8:30 p.m. each day. Volunteers will receive free entrance and a parking pass.

Those who are interested in volunteering should contact the WSU Extension office at 360-397-6060, ext. 0.
