Letter: Owens can take charge of office

The Columbian
Published: July 17, 2014, 12:00am

Clark County has the opportunity to elect a new sheriff. The candidate with the best background and skill set is Ed Owens. Owens has a strong commitment to citizens of Clark County.

My neighborhood suffered with a drug house for three years. Owens laid out a plan of action for my neighborhood to follow to force the sheriff’s office into action. Shortly after implementing Owens’ plan, SWAT raided the house, arrests were made, and the problem solved.

Owens served in the Air Force, achieving the rank of first sergeant. Men who achieve that rank are proven performers, get things done, and have the ability to lead. This is the type of person Clark County needs as sheriff.
