GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) — A body pulled from the Sandy River near Gresham, Ore., has been identified as that of a 29-year-old Gresham man missing since late February.

Multnomah County sheriff’s Lt. Steve Alexander said Kyle Peterson walked away into a heavily wooded area Feb. 24 after a car accident in Troutdale.

Alexander said a hiker reported seeing the body Friday, floating near the mouth of the river. The county medical examiner will investigate the death.
