Jewelry theft ringleader pleads guilty in Portland

PORTLAND — The ringleader of a group that stole jewelry from more than two dozen stores across the country pleaded guilty in federal court in Portland.

The Oregonian reports that 42-year-old Michael Young admitted that he committed conspiracy and interstate transportation of stolen goods. He faces a maximum of five years in prison on the first count and 10 years in prison on the second count.
