Evergreen High band receives top honor

Three other county schools' bands win at Starlight Parade

Four Clark County high school bands took honors in Saturday’s PGE/SOLV Starlight Parade, which is part of Portland’s Rose Festival.

Evergreen High School in Vancouver took top band honors, winning the sweepstakes award.

Mountain View High School in Vancouver won first place in the out-of-state contest for bands with 100 or more members.

In the out-of-state contest for bands with 99 and fewer musicians, Skyview High School in Vancouver nabbed first place and Prairie High School in Brush Prairie came in second.
