Four area companies will have an opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a judging panel of industry experts at the next Clark County PubTalk.

The session, sponsored by the Columbia River Economic Development Council and the Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council, will be held Tuesday, June 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Artillery Barracks, 600 E. Hatheway Road, Vancouver.

It will be modeled after the ABC Shark Tank television show. The “sharks” will include Jennifer Fox, executive director of OTRADI; Dennis McNannay, executive director of the Oregon BioScience Association; Jit Banerjee, director of business development for OHSU Technology Transfer and Commercialization; and Duffy DuFresne, with Alignment Ventures, LLC.

The panel will determine the winner who receives $1,000 in cash and prizes, as well as an invitation to an angel investor networking event. The audience will have an opportunity to provide feedback to the presenters and choose the runner-up entrepreneur, who will receive a non-cash prize.

Early bird registration to attend PubTalk is $25 through Sunday, June 8. After that, online pre-registration is $30 per person.

To pre-register, visit www.swwdc.org/#PubTalk.
