SPOKANE — The filming of a zombie TV show is underway this month in Spokane where dozens of actors and extras may be seen staggering around looking for victims.

KREM reports the cast and crew of “Z Nation” took over parts of Riverfront Park on Tuesday.

Spokane was chosen for the 13-episode show because of the variety of locations that can represent other parts of the country. The show is produced by The Asylum company and shot by North by Northwest Productions. It’s scheduled to run on the SyFy Channel in the fall.
