Manhunt follows fatal stabbing in Spokane

Spokane — A tense six-hour long manhunt through a neighborhood followed a fatal stabbing in downtown Spokane on Saturday.

Spokane police eventually arrested the suspect, 40-year-old Donald T. Phillips, who already had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The stabbing happened around 3:30 p.m. at a transit station. The man stabbed died at the hospital. The suspect fled on foot and was eventually captured.
