Letter: Not all new laws attract applause

A June 12 story reported on “Slew of state laws take effect.” How heart-warming it is to learn our legislators are busying themselves with deciding upon such important issues as the state’s official oyster species.

I wonder how many lives will be impacted by that monumental decision.
