An 18-year-old woman died in a late Wednesday night crash north of Jemtegaard Middle School in Washougal.

The crash was reported at 12:27 a.m. in the 36800 block of Southeast Sunset View Road, though traffic investigators believe the crash occurred about an hour prior, said Clark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman.

Emergency responders found the driver, an 18-year-old woman, dead at the scene of the crash. Her identity was not released.

Speed and alcohol were possibly involved in the crash, according to the sheriff’s office. The traffic unit is investigating.
