Clark County seeks applicants for Public Health Advisory Council

The Clark County Board of Health is seeking applicants for its Public Health Advisory Council.

The board needs to fill four vacancies:

• A dentist practicing in Clark County.

• A consumer of public health services

• A representative of the Clark County educational community.

• A representative of the Clark County Youth Commission, Clark County Youth House or a local high school or college.

Terms will begin Oct. 1 and end Sept. 30, 2017.

Among the council’s primary concerns are access to care, health inequalities, obesity, sustainable food system, adverse childhood experiences, climate change and healthy growth.

The council meets 6 to 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the second-floor conference room at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.

Applicants must submit a résumé and/or letter of interest to Jennifer Clark, board of county commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666. Commissioners will also accept applications by fax, 360-397-6058, or email jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. July 24.
