Portland Timbers U23 team to play at Camas

Riding a three-game unbeaten string, the Portland Timbers under-23 team plays at Doc Harris Stadium in Camas at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The Timbers U23s host the Kitsap Pumas for a Premier Development League Northwest Division match.

The Pumas (6-0-4) lead the Northwest Division. The Timbers (3-4-3) are fifth in the eight-team division.

The Timbers U23s feature current college players from around the country. Their only player from Washington is Spokane native Zach Hamer of Gonzaga. Kharlton Velmar from Virginia Commonwealth has scored a team-leading 10 goals for the Timbers.

Evergreen High School graduate Septi Danciu has appeared in eight games and scored one goal for the Pumas.
