The second event in the three-part series “Land and Environmental Art,” will be held March 13.

Sponsored by the Clark County Arts Commission, with support from the Clark County Clean Water Commission, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Vancouver Community Library, Columbia Room, 901 “C” St.

Artist Erin Dengerink will talk about public art as a gathering place or commons. She will discuss how artwork can be healing, cleaning polluted land or water while providing a community space. Her talk will briefly cover the history of the earthworks art movement.

The third event is scheduled for Thursday, May 1. The future of water will be the focus of discussion at Vancouver’s Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way.
