SPOKANE VALLEY — An overnight standoff at a Spokane Valley motel has ended with officers shooting a woman they say raised a gun.

KHQ reports the wounded woman has been taken to a hospital, and deputies have arrested a man.

The standoff began about 3 a.m. Tuesday at a Motel 6 where sheriff’s deputies attempted to arrest the man and woman on warrants from Montana. They refused to come out. Negotiators tried to talk them into surrendering.

The woman reportedly pointed the gun out a window about 6 a.m. and was shot by deputies.

No officers were hurt.
