Published: March 6, 2014, 4:00pm

Thursday morning, abortion protesters with graphic literature were standing on the sidewalk between Cascade Middle School and Evergreen High School.

By law, protesters must remain on the public sidewalk and cannot impede the flow of traffic. The protesters were a splinter group of a national organization, said Gail Spolar, spokesman for Evergreen Public Schools.

The group recently has protested on the sidewalk at local churches, including St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Spolar said.
