Homebuilding activity in Clark County improved in February from the same month last year, and held steady with the previous month, according to a county report issued Friday.

Clark County’s Community Development Department issued 60 permits to build single-family homes in unincorporated parts of the county, up more than 22 percent from 49 permits in February 2013. February’s total was slightly less than the 62 permits issued in January.

February’s 60 permits for single-family houses were valued at $25.4 million. It is a 48.5 percent increase in value over permits valued at $17.1 million the same month last year.
