Jerome Kersey is scheduled to visit Saturday’s portion of the Dream Team Camp at Liberty Middle School, 1612 N.E. Garfield St., in Camas.

Kersey played for the Portland Trail Blazers between 1984 and 1995. He was also a part of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Seattle Supersonics, the San Antonio Spurs and the Milwaukee Bucks during his 17 years in the NBA.

The Camas Dream Team Camp takes place on Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through high school. The $105 registration fee includes a lunch box on both days.

Stephen Curry, a guard with the Golden State Warriors, is also scheduled to make an appearance at the camp. The Warriors are in town to face the Trail Blazers Sunday, at 6 p.m., at the Moda Center.

Coordinator Larry Jury, of Camas, said the camp is filling up. To register, log on to www.dreamteamcamp.com.

The camp will focus on teamwork, respect and discipline. Defensive and offensive skills will be taught, with a focus on dribbling.

“We believe a good player must be well-rounded,” Jury said. “Our main focus is to encourage young people to understand the importance of fundamentals and practice them year round, to help better their skills in the game of basketball.”
