DUTY ASSIGNMENT

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class David Salzman recently reported to his new duty station at Navy Recruiting District, Portland. He is the son of Mark and Stacy Salzman of Vancouver, and a 2007 graduate of Mountain View High School.

BASIC TRAINING

Army Pvt. Zachary R. Finchum, a 2012 graduate of Columbia River High School, has completed basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Michael Finchum and stepson of Nicole Kreig of Vancouver.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Ricky Gardner-Curry, a 2011 graduate of Heritage High School, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill., and was promoted to his current rank. He received the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of training. He is the son Catherine L. Gardner of Vancouver and John J. Curry of Anchorage, Alaska.

Air Force Airman Joseph C. Long completed basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, graduating with honors. He is a 2012 graduate of River Home Link High School in Battle Ground.

Navy Seaman Apprentice John Oliver, son of Mark and Elizabeth Oliver of Vancouver, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2013 graduate of Skyview High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Trevor A. Saleg, son of Robert and Paula Saleg of Vancouver, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2012 graduate of Evergreen High School.
