Published: March 20, 2014, 5:00pm

When the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages International Convention and English Language Expo visits Portland on Wednesday, registrants will have the opportunity to visit two schools in Evergreen Public Schools.

Sunset Elementary School will feature its inclusive model for bringing English Language Learner students up to speed quickly. Wy’east Middle School will show how Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol training and Apple iPads have been used in ELL classrooms.

As the largest organization focused exclusively on English language teaching for speakers of other languages, TESOL conventions host more than 6,500 people from across the U.S. and around the world.
