I like Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash. She is adept at budget issues, shows concern for the issues affecting the state and its place in the nation, and nearly always votes the way I’d want her to. Murray manages all this while maintaining a decidedly down-to-earth persona, not far from her early “Soccer Mom” days.
