Officials say more than 125,000 Washington residents have signed up for private insurance since Oct. 1 through the state’s new health care exchange.
That’s an increase of about 12,000 people in the past week.
Monday is the deadline for signing up for insurance in the first enrollment period of health care reform.
Customers who enroll and pay for their insurance before midnight March 31 will be covered as of May 1.
About 67,000 people have filled out their applications for private insurance through the exchange and still need to pay.
Another 380,000 have signed up for free insurance through the exchange because they are eligible for Medicaid.
