Letter: Reject agreement for oil terminal

The Columbian
Published: March 26, 2014, 5:00pm

In my opinion, the entire set of Port of Vancouver commissioners and Todd Coleman, the port’s executive director, should be recalled/fired for their failure to represent and follow the wishes of the people of Vancouver. Many, if not most, residents feel that the port commissioners are being influenced by Tesoro and that they have forgotten that they were elected/hired to represent the citizens of Vancouver and not the selfish and self-serving interests of Big Oil.

Where’s my proof? They have no guts and their refusal to appear at the public forum along with Tesoro representatives says it all. A Feb. 28 story reported “Oil plan backers won’t join in forum: Port commissioner’s about-face on taking part stirs controversy.” Fire them all and say “no” to Big Oil.
