Skills Center barbecue and fundraiser is Friday

The Clark County Skills Center hosts its annual Summer Country Barbecue at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Skills Center Restaurant, 12200 N.E. 28th St. Tickets are $30 per person and must be reserved by contacting Barbara Ainslie at 360-604-1050 ext. 2169 or barbara.ainslie@evergreenps.org.

The meal is planned, prepared, hosted and served by the students in the Skills Center Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts program.

The menu features Chef Andrew’s barbecued ribs, country fried chicken, corn bread, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, watermelon, potato salad, coleslaw, apple pie with caramel and strawberry short cake.

Music will be provided by the Puddletown Ramblers.

Proceeds benefit the Skills Center Foundation, a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1992 to raise funds, provide financial stewardship and support the equipment, technology and educational material needs of Skills Center programs.
