Ex-soldier accused of acid attack on Olympia judge

OLYMPIA — A man accused of throwing acid in the face of an Olympia judge who issued a restraining order against him pleaded not guilty to assault and malicious mischief charges.

Thurston County prosecutors say 33-year-old Michael Edward Martin went to the home of District Judge Michael “Brett” Buckley in September 2012 and threw sulfuric acid in his face when he answered the door.
