Letter: Leadership is certain with Atkins

The Columbian
Published: May 11, 2014, 5:00pm

Chuck Atkins is my clear choice for Clark County sheriff. Atkins led the SWAT team on hundreds of missions throughout my time on the team. As a decorated combat veteran and police officer, I can clearly say that Atkins leads from the front and will always take responsibility for his actions and the actions of his subordinates in both good and bad times.

He’s the kind of guy who treats you with respect and professionalism, always modeling the behavior and actions that he wants to see. This makes me want to be a better cop and never let him, or the community, down. He cares about this community and the interaction law enforcement has with it.
